Active Damping Stabilization Techniques for Cascaded Systems in DC Microgrids: A Comprehensive Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Microgrids have arisen as an alternate solution to the problem of power generation in distributed energy. Compared ac microgrids, dc microgrids (DC MGs) are superior terms system efficiency, quality, affordability, and ease control. For integration renewable energy into electronic converters required. When electronics tightly regulated, they behave a constant load (CPL) which exhibits negative incremental impedance characteristic. As result, oscillations occur voltage response at DC bus. To suppress MGs, various damping stabilization techniques proposed by researchers. This paper provides comprehensive review on active techniques. improve system’s stability, can be implemented three distinct zones: source-side, side or CPL side, intermediate level. After analyzing each zone, their merits drawbacks been presented. Moreover, modelling, performance cascaded DC-DC systems, effect source subsystem, converter, stability analysis discussed. Finally, concluding remarks future research directions highlighted.

AC and DC technology in microgrids: A review

Microgrids are a suitable, reliable and clean solution to integrate distributed generation into the mains grid. Microgrids can present both AC and DC distribution lines. The type of distribution conditions the performance of distribution line and implies different features, advantages and disadvantages in each case. This paper analyses, in detail, all this parameters for AC and DC microgrids in...

A power consensus algorithm for DC microgrids

A novel power consensus algorithm for DC microgrids is proposed and analyzed. DC microgrids are networks composed of DC sources, loads, and interconnecting lines. They are represented by differential-algebraic equations connected over an undirected weighted graph that models the electrical circuit. A second graph represents the communication network over which the source nodes exchange informat...

Economic Droop Scheme for Decentralized Power Management in DC Microgrids

This paper proposes an autonomous and economic droop control scheme for DC microgrid application. In this method, a cost-effective power sharing technique among various types of DG units is properly adopted. The droop settings are determined based on an algorithm to individually manage the power management without any complicated optimization methods commonly applied in the centralized control ...

Robust stabilization of nonlinear cascaded systems

This paper considers the problem of robust stabilization for an uncertain nonlinear system which is a cascaded interconnection of two subsystems. Both of the subsystems are allowed to be nonlinear, multi-variable, and containing uncertain parameters. We present a new approach to designing stabilizing controllers which assure both robust global asymptotic stability and local quadratic stability....

Power Quality in DC Power Distribution Systems and Microgrids

This review paper discusses power quality considerations for direct current (DC) electric power distribution systems, particularly DC microgrids. First, four selected sample DC architectures are discussed to provide motivation for the consideration of power quality in DC systems. Second, a brief overview of power quality challenges in conventional alternating current (AC) distribution systems i...
